Home care workers to register with

Social Care Council from 2010.

Letter to NDI:

Following our telephone conversation today I can confirm that home care workers will be the next group of social care workers to register with us in early 2010. This would not include personal assistants.

Last Thursday the Government launched its adult social care workforce strategy and there was a chapter dedicated to registration of the workforce. For more details please see this page (DOH).

As you will see, paragraph 109 says: "We expect the GSCC to consult on proposals for the registration of personal assistants in due course".

"Nina started educating herself about the biomeds. And within a few days of giving them enzymes which help digest wheat and dairy, they were sleeping better and, miraculously, began speaking..."

Autism Research by Prof. Sir Michael Rutter

 (Powerpoint) including:

• No convincing evidence that basic deficits of autism are regularly relieved by any form of psychotropic medicine
• No convincing evidence of any neurochemical abnormality specifically associated with autism

Lack of response to neuroleptics leads to why does autism differ from most other psychiatric disorders in showing no substantial response to neuroleptics?

(There appears to be no useful response - rather than merely the frequently found adverse effects - NDI).
